Acronis recently reached a milestone – They’re celebrating their 15^th anniversary! And Lifeboat couldn’t be happier for them! To let the festivities commence, Acronis recently hosted a gala event for their partners, customers, and a host of special guests at their newly expanded corporate headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. As not every company successfully competes, let alone leads in their industry for 15 years, Acronis is elated to take a few moments to celebrate their successes!

Acronis was founded in Singapore in 2003 and incorporated in Switzerland 5 years later. The company has since grown into a global leader in cyber protection- delivering backup, recovery, hybrid cloud storage and cutting-edge data protection to businesses and home users around the world. Their focus started on making data protection easy, reliable, efficient, secure, private, and accessible to all. They have since become an innovator in the market providing leading solutions and exceptional cyber protection to millions of users worldwide.

In addition to celebrating Acronis’ past accomplishments, the anniversary gala in Schaffhausen also became the platform for Acronis’ near-future plans as well. Announced at the event, was the expansion plan of an exciting new project called Singularity City. This new Acronis initiative proposes to build a university, research center and technology park to promote industry-driven research and computer science. The university will focus on artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and blockchain; and the technology park will provide incubation for startups. And Lifeboat is excited to be along for the ride!
