Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Another successful Speed Networking Day in the books! Vendors, along with our very own Lifeboat sales teams, participated in Mardi Gras Day held on Tuesday, March 5.
The teams were split up into groups and had 10 minutes to mingle with each of our sponsoring vendors (Avast, Macrium and ThinPrint) during the speed networking sessions. During that time, the vendors shared product updates along with best practices for selling their solutions.
The Lifeboat office was decorated from window to window in purple, gold and green – the iconic Mardi Gras colors, of course! We dressed up in beads and masks, listened to New Orleans style Jazz music, took pictures with The King, had a whack at a candy filled pinata, feasted on coconut fried shrimp, jambalaya, cornbread, blackened chicken and yummy black-eyed pea salad! Special shout out to Chef Covas Catering for the delicious food!
And what’s a Mardi Gras celebration without dessert? We ended Mardi Gras with none other than King Cake, a sweet roll that’s equal parts delicious and festive. Typically, King Cake is made of a rich, brioche dough and a wide array of fillings, such as cinnamon and chocolate. But the rainbow magic is found in the glaze and sprinkles, which was obviously gold, green, and purple!
