As the Kentucky Derby is held on the first Saturday in the month of May, Lifeboat Distribution saddled up our horses, wore our best attire, and hosted own very own Derby-inspired speed networking day on Thursday, May 2nd.  With our big hats on, and big bets made, both our vendor sponsors (ABBYY, Altaro and Insperity) and our Lifeboat sales teams all came out winners!

The Inside sales reps were grouped into 8 and each had 10 minutes to network with our participating vendors –  ABBYY, Altaro and Insperity. During that time, the vendors shared product updates and offerings, along with the best practices for selling their solutions.

With country music playing, we feasted on shrimp, fried chicken, ribs, macaroni and cheese and cole slaw. Late in the afternoon, we indulged in some sweet tea and chocolate pecan pie yummy enough to make the south proud! Shout out to Chicken Kitchen for the southern-inspired lunch menu! 

Everyone in attendance was decked out to the nines! There were floral dresses, dapper suits, bow-ties and fascinators.  Photo Ops were had with Lifeboat’s winning Jockey and we had our very own ribbons and roses ceremony, where prizes were given to best dressed and biggest hats.  Win, Place and Show went to Elisa Marin, Andre Assante and Val Alessi  who impressed the judges with their bow-ties, hats and fascinators and walked away with a small gift for their efforts!

Congratulations to Katy Butterwick for winning Insperity‘s awesome cooler! Don’t forget to bring it to the racetrack next time you go! 

And the $500 GRAND PRIZE went to Sean King! We celebrated over some mint Juleps and some Derby trivia to end the night.
